KL Rendering has put together some of the frequently asked questions with our rendering services.

Can you render over paint?

Yes, we have acrylic keycotes on the market which adheres to the paint creating a key for 2nd coat of acrylic render.

Do you use P.V.C external anglebeads?

Yes, we use anglebeads to give the corner extra strength, you also get straight corners every time. Also we use P.V.C to prevent rusting.

Do you cut off window sills and why?

Yes, we offer this to our customers as we think it modernises the home, but is optional.

How much does rendering cost?

We work on a square metre rate but smaller jobs will be worked out on an hourly rate or day rate.

Is there a lot of mess?

Rendering is a messy job so we take care by covering windows and pathways using drop sheets and masking paper. All rubbish is taken away off site.

Will I see bricks through the render?

No not at all! We do a two coat system. The 1st coat takes care of any shrinkage so the 2nd coat is applied to a flat surface.

Can the property be rendered in stages?

Not a problem. We understand that people have budgets so we do accommodate for their needs.

How quick can we paint after rendering?

Some acrylics renders are 48hours, others recommend 5-7 days. Traditional sand and cement is 4 weeks.
